What do you wonder about? I wonder what size patties we will make.
What do you know or notice? I noticed we have 5 pounds of ground meat.
What information do you need? I need to know how many people we need to feed to adjust the size of the burgers if this is all the meat we will have.
What assumptions can you make? I am going to assume that we make a quarter pound burger patties.
What math will you use to solve the problem? I can use division of fractions : 5 divided by 1/4 or think each lb gives me 4 patties so 5*4=20 quarter pounder patties.
